Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Mangalore Diocese in Collaboration With Moodbidri Deanery and Shirthady Unit Organizes Diocesan Youth Convention (DYC) 2015 At Shirtady From 1st Oct To Oct 4th 2015.Formal inaugural function was kick started by Most Rev Fr Francis Serrao, Bishop of Shimoga Diocese .Proceeded with the procession towards the venue followed by the stage program.

City Deanery youths performed Dance on the theme song of DYC.
Rev.Fr.Basil Vas gave reflection on word of God. He said that Jesus gave us peace and evil destroyed us. Our Saints have done good to the society and we the youth have to walk in Jesus steps and should do good to the society.  ICYM Mangalore Diocese President Mr.Alwyn Dsouza welcomed the guests on the Dias and gatherings.
Rev.Fr. Ronald Prakash Dsouza Mangalore Diocese YCS and ICYM Director, addressed the gathering saying today Youth need training to be the pillar of service and to be united. DYC 2015 is a perfect platform to get trained and to be united. He concluded wishing good luck for the programme.
To symbolize youth under one roof the grand inauguration of DYC 2015 took place by putting different fishes into one bowl  by all dignitories. Rev.Fr.Austin Peter Peris Vicarvar, Moodbidri  Deanery addressed the gathering saying that when your with the youth you will forget your age. If the youth are Active in the church, those churches can do lot for the society.
Fr.Francis Crasta, Parish priest of Shirthady addressed saying where there is a youth power the society will go forward with them. He stressed youth should choose right path. This convention will help you to get into right path.

Addressing the gathering Mr.Abhayachandra Jain said “The fact is christian missionaries and religious people has done lot to the society, like education and medical facility without expecting anything. Hats off to them and he also added saying I have given responsibility to be the minster for youth. I will promise to do my best for the betterment of youth.

Msgnr.Denis Moras Prabhu said that kindness has no price so the youth of ICYM should build the society with their kindness without expecting anything from the society. He gave his good wishes for the program.
