Nov 27 : ICYM Bantwal Unit along with the whole church community undertook a unique programme called "Laudato Si Sunday" on November 25th 2018. This was initiated in the Mangalore Diocese by Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha by paying reverence to the words of Pope Francis towards conservation of nature.

Rev. Fr Walter Oswald Dmello - Parish Priest along with Rev. Fr Ashwin Crasta - Assistant Parish Priest, Sandeep Menezes - Vice President and Richard Dsouza – Secretary, Bantwal parish pastoral council, 19 Ward Leaders, Sunil Lewis - Animator, Avinash Jeevan Dsouza – President, Annet Carol Dsouza - Secretary, ICYM Bantwal Unit were present for the programme along with the parishioners. Rev. Fr Walter Oswald Dmello distributed a sapling each to all the ward heads and also leaflets containing information about the Laudato Si movement. The ward heads were instructed to plant the saplings and look after it under the slogan 'Protection of environment is our duty'.
