July 17 : On the occasion of youth day, the ICYM Bantwal unit in collaboration with the youth commission organised "Yuva Parzal" for all the youth of the Bantwal church on July 14, 2024 from 9.00am to 4.30pm at Anugraha church hall , Bantwal.
The inaugural program was presided over by Fr. Valerian D'Souza (parish priest). Fr. Lancy D'Souza (assistant parish priest), Mr. Sunil Veigas (vice president of Infant Jesus church), Mr.Manohar Dcosta (secretary of Infant Jesus church) , Mr.Sunil Lewis (ICYM Animator), Arrol Jackson Sequeira (President of ICYM Bantwal deanery), Mrs. Veena Goveas (coordinator of all commissions), Mr. John Gomes (youth convener of Infant Jesus church), Ms Shobha (chief guest of the event ) showed their presence in the program.
The program began with a prayer and thereafter the gathering was welcomed by Mr.Rickson Tauro followed by the official inauguration of the event by the dignitaries.
After the inauguration Rev. Fr. Valerian Dsouza and Mr. John Gomes delivered speeches.
A special honour was bestowed upon the past president and secretary of the Bantwal unit.
Ashwin Lobo delivered the vote of thanks to conclude the stage program.
Prival Pinto served as the master of ceremony for the event.
An action song was performed by Melisha and team, adding a lively element to the event.
Ms. Shobha Monteiro and Ms. Sharel Rodrigues had an interactive session with the youth.
Refreshments and lunch were provided to all the youth.
In the post- lunch session, the youth were divided into groups and fulfilled with the activities.
Melroy Dsouza conducted an engaging quiz session and various fun activities were conducted for the groups.
The event also had the privilege of being visited by representatives from the Mangalore diocese and ICYM Bantwal deanery.
Winning teams from the day's activities were awarded prizes, recognizing their achievements.
To conclude the event on a joyous note, a baila dance performance took place, spreading enthusiasm among the participants.
In total 102 enthusiastic youths from the Bantwal parish actively participated in the memorable Yuva Parzal 2024 event.
