ICYM Manjotti Unit celebrated Laudato - Si Sunday on 30th June 2019 along with the parishioners of Holy Cross Church Manjotti, Belthangady with great enthusiasm and vigour by planting varieties of saplings in the church campus. On this auspicious Laudato Si Sunday, Rev. Fr Praveen Dsouza – Parish Priest, Holy Cross Church Manjotti, in his homily highlighted the purpose and the importance of Laudato Si Campaign in the Diocese of Mangalore and explained how the Mother earth cries out to us because of the harm, we have inflicted on her by our irresponsible use and abuse of the goods with God has endowed her.

After the Holy Eucharistic celebration, Daphney welcomed the gathering and the catechism children inaugurated Laudato Si Sunday by planting pepper plants. Valerian Monis - Vice President, Manjotti parish pastoral council was present for the programme. ICYM members organized a short awareness programme in the church campus on protecting the environment with Each One Plant One concept under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Praveen Dsouza. Everyone joined hand in hand in planting saplings in the church campus. Kiran – Member, ICYM Manjotti unit compered the programme.
