Sep 11 : On the occasion of the Nativity of Mother Mary, ICYM Ammembal Unit in collaboration with Youth Commission organized ‘Khela Saanz - 2023’ – games event for the Ammembal Parishioners on 8th September 2023.

The inauguration ceremony began with a flash mob soon after the festive mass in the morning. Fr John Vas- Guest Priest, Fr Michael Dsilva - Parish priest, Robert Dsouza & Laveena Rodrigues – Vice President & Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Jossy Tauro– Co-ordinator of 21 Pastoral Commissions , Sharath Galbao – President St Thomas sports club, Clitus Sequeira & Nithesh Noronha – President and Secretary of ICYM Ammembal Unit were the dignitaries.

Clitus Sequeira welcomed the gathering. The banner was exposed and a mini tug of war took place between dignitaries and ICYM members to mark the inauguration of the event. Nithesh Noronha delivered vote of thanks. Animator Lancy Rodrigues compered the inauguration ceremony.

The most awaited ‘Khela Saanz – 2023’ event began at 3:00p.m. at the church ground through prayer service. Various lucky games were organised for all ages. Sports like Tug of war, Relay and Balloon race were organised and conducted ward wise. Breaking the pot was a special attraction.

The duties were distributed among the ICYM Members. Parishioners whole-heartedly participated in the event. ICYM members actively participated in the preparation as well as in conducting the event which led to the success of the event. The Event ended with a rain dance. Jeslyn Tauro – member of the ICYM was the MC of the event.
