Aug 30 : The Deva Matha Youth Movement (ICYM), Mogarnad Unit, embarked on a heart-warming journey of compassion and camaraderie on Sunday, 27th August 2023, with a visit to two esteemed orphanages in Bejai. The day was marked by joyful interactions, engaging activities, and a sense of community that left an indelible mark on the members of the ICYM.
Morning Visit to Chinnara Tangudhama Orphanage:
The day began with a visit to Chinnara Tangudhama Orphanage, where a group of 24 vibrant young hearts eagerly awaited the ICYM members. The engagement was nothing short of memorable, as the members orchestrated a series of enriching activities. Action songs filled the air as laughter and smiles adorned the faces of the children. Unique games were conducted, weaving an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement.
The ICYM members, demonstrating their creative prowess, performed a captivating skit that not only entertained but also conveyed meaningful life lessons. The power of music was evident as melodious songs resonated throughout the orphanage, adding a touch of joy to the gathering. The spirit of reciprocity was evident when the children themselves shared their action songs and showcased a delightful dance performance.
In the spirit of community support, juice and snacks were generously distributed, fostering a sense of togetherness and warmth. As a culmination of this heartening experience, a monetary donation, along with various items donated by the parishioners of the Mother of God Church, were graciously handed over to the orphanage head, symbolizing a shared commitment to the well-being of the children.
Visit to Snehadeep Orphanage:
The momentum of compassion continued as the ICYM members proceeded to the Snehadeep Orphanage. The day's activities echoed with action songs and games, further strengthening the bonds formed earlier. As a gesture of solidarity, the monetary donation and items contributed by the Parishioners of the Mother of God Church were presented, underscoring the collective effort to make a positive impact.
The event was graced by esteemed personalities, including Mr Prashanth Lewis, the Animator of DMYM, Mr Praveen Dcunha, President of St. John Paul 2 Deanery, Mr Avit Premson Lobo, President of DMYM, and Ms Melvita Christal Pereira, Secretary.
