Oct 5 : On the occasion of the Centennial year Celebration of Our Lady of Dolours Church, ICYM Vittal unit along with parish Youth Commission organised a youth program “Yuva Milan 2K22” for all the Youths of the parish on 2nd of October 2022 at St. Rita School.

The registration took place at 8:15am onwards, followed by a stage program at 8:45am. Fr. Stany Pinto, Campus director, St. Philomena College Puttur and Mr. Roshan Madtha were the resource persons for the day.

The program commenced with the prayer song led by Renisha and the group.

Ivan Michael Rodrigues, Parish Priest and President of the program; Mr. Manohar Lancy Dsouza, Parish Council Vice President; Mr. Vijay Pais, Parish Council Secretary; Mr. Louis Mascarenhas, Coordinator of all Commissions; Mr. Thomas Mascarenhas, Convener of Youth Commission; Fr. Stany Pinto, Campus Director, St. Philomena College Puttur; Mr Anil John Sequeira, President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Mr. Joel Lancy Crastha, Diocesan Amcho Yuvak Editor and Vittla Deanery representative; Philomena Fernandez, Diocesan ICYM PRO; Mr. Avil Rodrigues, President ICYM Vittal Deanery; Mr. Avil Lobo, Treasurer ICYM Vittal Deanery; Mr. Jostan Lobo, President ICYM Vittal Unit, were present for the inauguration ceremony.

Mr. Thomas Mascarenhas welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. Rev. Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues addressed the gathering and expressed his thoughts about the youths and the importance of youths in a society.

ICYM Vittal unit President Mr. Jostan Lobo thanked everyone.

Mr. Prithesh Lobo, ICYM Vittal unit secretary and Ms. Jostal Mascarenhas gave a brief introduction about the guests. They gave a brief knowledge about the faith and information about the future of youths. Mass was held for all the youths in Our Lady of Dolours Church, Vittal.

Followed by Lunch, afternoon games, group activities, action songs and other programs were initiated by Mr. Jaison Pinto and Ms. Jasmine Veigas along with ICYM members.

At the end of the day, Mr. Manohar Lancy Dsouza, Parish Council Vice President; Mr. Vijay Pais, Parish Council Secretary; Mr. Louis Mascarenhas, Coordinator of all Commissions; Mr. Thomas Mascarenhas, Convener of Youth Commission; Mr. Avil Rodrigues, President ICYM Vittal Deanery; Mr. Avil Lobo, Treasurer ICYM Vittal Deanery; Mr. Jostan Lobo, President ICYM Vittal Unit and Mr. Prithesh Lobo, Secretary ICYM Vittal Unit were present for the valedictory program.

Mr Thomas Mascarenhas welcomed the gathering. Mr. Manohar Lancy D'Souza and Mr. Vijay Pais addressed the gathering and expressed their thoughts and Love towards the youths and distributed the prizes to the winners of the group activities.

On behalf of all the gathered youths, Mr. Dilroy Mascarenhas and Ms. Avilia Juliet Rodrigues shared their experience of the program and how it benefited them.

Mr. Jaison Pinto proposed the vote of thanks for making this program a successful one.

Both inauguration and valedictory ceremonies were hosted by ICYM Vittal unit Joint Secretary Ms. Carol Jevita Lobo.

Enthusiastic young crowd of 70 members were gathered. The program came to an end with the baila dance.
