March 15, 2024 : The Taize Prayer organized by the ICYM Vittal Unit took place at Lady of Dolours Church, Vittal. The evening commenced with a solemn procession of the Holy Cross, symbolizing the journey of faith for the youth. In attendance were two esteemed members from the ICYM diocese council, enriching the gathering with their presence.
In a bid to deepen the youth's connection with Jesus during the Lenten season, Rev. Fr. Stany Pinto conducted a thought-provoking session on confession, encouraging introspection and spiritual renewal. Following this, confession was made available to the youth, providing an opportunity for personal reflection and reconciliation.
As the clock struck 6:30 pm, the Taize Prayer began, drawing in approximately 120 participants. The altar, adorned with lamps, bricks, and lights by dedicated ICYM members, served as a focal point for prayer and contemplation. Father extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting the tone for a meaningful spiritual experience.
Throughout the prayer session, many youths and parishioners actively engaged, embracing the atmosphere of reverence and devotion. As the evening drew to a close, Vittal Unit President Glanson Mascarenhas delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all involved.
The gathering concluded with refreshments, fostering fellowship and camaraderie among participants, as they departed, spiritually enriched and renewed.
