Dec 10 : On the occasion of Christmas, the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Alangar Unit, successfully organized a Christmas Greeting Card Competition on 8th December 2024. The event was open to students from 3rd standard to 2nd PUC and was held at the Church Hall of Holy Rosary Church, Alangar.
The competition witnessed an enthusiastic participation of around 35 to 40 students, who were categorized based on their age groups. The program began promptly at 12:00 PM and concluded by 1:00 PM, ensuring a smooth and organized event.

Participants showcased their creativity and artistic skills by crafting vibrant and meaningful Christmas greeting cards, reflecting the true spirit of the festive season. The competition provided a platform for young talents to express their thoughts and emotions through art while celebrating the joy and essence of Christmas.
ICYM members ensured that the event was well-coordinated, and a panel of judges evaluated the entries based on creativity, originality, and presentation.
The event concluded with a short address by the organizers, who thanked the participants, parents, and parishioners for their support. Prizes for the winners will be distributed during the upcoming Christmas celebration at the church on 24th December.
The competition not only highlighted the artistic talents of the students but also fostered a sense of unity and festive cheer among the parish community.
