Sep 1 : ICYM City Deanery organized ‘Gadhyanth Udkana -2022' for all the city deanery parishes on the 21st of August 2022 at the field of Mr. Lancy Sequeira and Mr. Lancy Lobo at Mesthakodi, Neermarga, Kelarai at 10.00 AM. Kelarai unit led the prayer song along with other ICYM members.

The Vicar Forane Rev. Fr. James Dsouza as chief guest, Field owners Mr. Lancy Sequeira and Mr. Lancy Lobo, ICYM Mangalore Diocese President Mr. Anil John Sequeira, Nominated member Mr. Sushanth Fernandes Arwa, ICYM Deanery President Ms. Nisha Dsouza and Secretary Ms. Savitha Saldanha were present on the dais.

The ICYM President Ms. Nisha Dsouza welcomed the gathering. The event was inaugurated by imprinting the handprints on the canvas using field mud. The Vicar Forane Rev. Fr. James Dsouza delivered the Presidential address regarding the event. ICYM Secretary Ms. Savitha Saldanha delivered the vote of thanks for the inaugural ceremony.

As it was an inter-parish event, there were Solo, Duet, and Group games. Various games were played between them like tug of war, tie and run, lemon and spoon, treasure hunt, sack race, reverse run and other exciting games were played with the help of the Deanery Committee.

In the closing ceremony, winners were awarded trophies and medals. Guests and sponsors were honored with flower pots. Deanery director Rev. Fr. Anil Dmello addressed the gathering. Ms. Ashlin was the MC of the event. Overall it was a fun-filled and enjoyable day.
