Jul 18 : On the occasion of Vanamahotsava , the members of Catholic Sabha & Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of Fermai parish in assistance with the Commission for Ecology of the parish organized Cleanliness Drive and Plant Distribution Program on July 17th, 2022.

The program commenced at 8:30 am after mass. Mr. Lancy D'Souza, President of Catholic Sabha welcomed the gathering. The chief guest, the parish priest Rev. Dr. Mark Castelino addressed the gathering about the importance of environment & its preservation and planted a sapling as an opening for the program. Later plants were distributed to every family of the parish. ICYM president Allen Dsa gave the vote of thanks. Prashanth Saldanha compered the program.

After this program, the members of Catholic Sabha as well as ICYM initiated to collect the waste from Fermai church campus till Ullaibettu grama panchayat. They collected about one ton of garbage/ plastic waste. This motive was highly appreciated by the public.
