Nov 4 : ICYM Episcopal city deanery organized "Yuva Milan 2022" on 30th October 2022 from 9:00 Am onwards at Urwa church hall.

The event began with prayer led by the ICYM Bejai unit. Rev Fr. Benjamin Pinto parish priest of Urwa church was the president of the program, Mr. JR Lobo, former MLA of Mangalore south constituency was the chief guest. Rev.Fr. Johnson Pereira assistant parish priest Urwa church. Rev.Fr. Ronson Pinto Deanery Director, Ms. Sonali Rodrigues Deanery President , Anvitha Edna Ferros Deanery Secretary were present on the dais.

Sonali Rodrigues Deanery President welcomed the gathering, this was followed by the inauguration of the YUVA MILAN 2022 by the dignitaries on the dais. Anvitha Edna Ferros the deanery secretary read the Annual Report of Episcopal City Deanery.

Chief Guest Mr. JR Lobo addressed the gathering and appreciated the activities done by the ICYM youth. The Chief Guest spoke about finding a purpose in life and encouraged the youth by motivating them saying, “Always have a motto in life which makes you thrive harder so that you will be of some use to the society”. These words from the Chief Guest enlightened the youth.

Former presidents of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery who are now united by the pure bond of marriage were felicitated for their selfless service.

The present council members of ICYM ECD were felicitated by giving a token of love.

The president of the program Rev.Fr. Benjamin Pinto addressed the youth.

ICYM central council Lady Vice President Delisha Pereira was present during the event.

Melany Cutinho Deanery Joint Secretary rendered the vote of thanks during the formal progam.

Privi Dsouza Bendur compered the formal program, this was followed by ice breaking session and games which were conducted by Rorthon Coelho Thanirbavi.

A debate session on marriage, problems in marriage and inter-religious marriage was conducted by Rev.Fr. Chethan Lobo from Udupi. The youths were given a platform to unbox their thoughts. The youths were divided into two groups, one group was for and other group was against the topic. At the beginning of the debate Rev.Fr. Chethan Lobo spoke about the topic and later the debate session began.

At 12:30 Pm there was Eucharistic celebration at Urwa church ,the choir was led by Blue Angels , this was followed by lunch.

Post lunch youths were given the opportunities to exhibit their talents . The units came up with dance , singing and so on. This was followed by a few more games to make the youths more active.

Valedictory program commenced at 3:45 Pm. V.Rev.Fr. Vincent Monteiro, Vicar Forane Episcopal City Deanery, Rev.Fr. Ronson Pinto Deanery Director , Ms. Sonali Rodrigues Deanery President , Anvitha Edna Ferros Deanery Secretary, Jennica Urwa unit president were present on the dais. V.Rev.Fr. Vincent Monteiro addressed the gathering and appreciated the youths for conducting such activities and giving opportunities to the youth to showcase their talents.

Rev.Fr. Ronson Pinto Deanery Director addressed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks.

A token of gratitude was given to all the members who made the event successful. Prizes for “I LOVE INDIA” competition and also the prizes of the group games conducted during the day were given by V.Rev.Fr. Vincent Monteiro. Snehal Lobo Urwa compered the valedictory program.

A total of 125 youths of the Deanery actively participated in Yuva Milan 2022.
