Oct 5 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Bantwal Deanery organized Yuva Sambram  2022-23, Deanery Youth Convention on 02 October 2022 at 9:30 am at Anugraha Main Hall. 

Registration was conducted at 9:00 am and followed by breakfast.

The Event “YUVA SAMBRAM” began with the Prayer Service conducted by Rev.Fr. Rahul Dexter Dsouza.

Melroy Prem Dsouza the President of ICYM Bantwal Deanery welcomed the guest and gathering.

Inaugural function was presided over by Dr Mona Jackline Mendonsa – Chief Guest, Rev.Fr.Ashwin Cardoza – Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Rev.Fr.Rahul Dexter Dsouza – Director of ICYM Bantwal Deanery, Frayal Gladson Cross – Diocese Representative, Viola Reshma Lewis – Regional Representative along with Melroy Prem Dsouza – President of ICYM Bantwal Deanery and Preema Monteiro – Secretary.

Former President and Secretary of ICYM Bantwal Deanery were honoured  for their service and unconditional support. 

Alrick Livian D’silva and Melston Wilfred Noronha, the members of Central council Mangalore Diocese were present for this event.
Preema Monteiro, the Secretary of Deanery rendered the vote of thanks.

An interactive morning session was conducted by Dr Mona Jackline Mendonsa, Assistant Professor at ST. Aloysious College Mangaluru. The session was based on “ Importance of Decision Making at Right Time and Right Age ”. The resource person  also stressed on the importance of time management in the younger generation. The time management skill empowers youth to prioritize tasks and make value-based decisions, which can lead to more free time, less stress, and greater wellbeing.

Rheona Fernandes the Joint Secretary of Deanery welcomed the Resource Person and Rev.Fr. Rahul Dexter Dsouza the Director of ICYM Bantwal Deanery proposed vote of thanks.  

Lunch was served at 1:00 pm and the afternoon session  began at 1:45 pm. 

Anil John Sequeira  the President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Nishal Preemal Dsouza the Secretary of ICYM Mangalore  Diocese, Philomena Fernandes the Public Relations Officer of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Joel Lancy Crasta the Amcho Yuvak Editor, Wilma Viola Lobo the President of Puttur Deanery attended the event in the afternoon.

Afternoon sessions were fun filled activities conducted by Elroy Pereira  such as Balloon blast , Ramp walk for boys wearing saree, Potato fight , Bottle and chilly , news singing etc., the youth participated and enjoyed all activities.  

Memento was given as a token of gratitude to Elroy Pereira, Anil John Sequiera, and Nishal Preema Dsouza  by Rev.Fr.Rahul Dexter Dsouza.
 
Later on entertainment programs were conducted by different Units of Bantwal Deanery. 

 In the end the Director of ICYM Bantwal Deanery thanked everyone for the success of  “ YUVA SAMBRAM ” and the refreshment was arranged for the youth and event was ended up with baila dance at 4:30 pm.
