Nov 14 : ICYM Bantwal unit organized 'Baal Bantwal' for children aged 3 to 5 ,on November 12, 2023 at Bantwal Church grounds.
This event Commenced at 5:30 pm, children entered with ICYM Members, and Rickson led a prayer. The event featured three rounds.
In Round 1, guided by Miss Venessa Moras, 28 contestants showcased their talents. YCS members then presented an engaging dance, complemented by a delightful singing performance from Marian Sodality and altar boys.
Moving on to Round 2, with 16 contestants, Mrs. Mishal D'Souza took charge, followed by another enchanting dance performance from Marian Sodality and altar boys.
The stage program welcomed esteemed dignitaries, including Fr. Valerian D'Souza (Parish Priest), Fr. Rahul D'Souza (Assistant Parish Priest), Fr. Melwin (Headmaster of Infant Jesus English Medium School), Mr. Sunil Veigas (Vice President of Infant Jesus Church), Mr. Manohar Dcosta (Secretary of Infant Jesus Church), Mrs. Veena Goveas (Coordinator of all commissions of Infant Jesus Church), Mr. Sunil Lewis (ICYM Animator), Miss. Wencita Dias, Prof. Sharol Rodrigues, Dr. Anup Dencil Veigas, Preema Monteiro (President), and Meldrin Rodrigues (Secretary).
Preema Monteiro extended a warm welcome, Miss. Wencita Dias shared a thoughtful message, and Fr. Rahul expressed a few words while a lucky draw took place. Fr. Valerian conveyed a valuable message, and Meldrin Rodrigues delivered the vote of thanks.
Round 3, under the supervision of Miss Venessa Moras, showcased the talents of 8 contestants, followed by a dynamic dance performance by ICYM members and an engaging skit.
The event's judges, Miss. Wencita Dias, Prof. Sharol Rodrigues, and Dr. Anup Dencil Veigas, played a crucial role in evaluating the performances.
As the event drew to a close , Dr. Anup Dencil Veigas crowned Ronel Zulki as the Baal Bantwal, while Prof. Sharol Rodrigues presented Justin Joel Mascarenhas with the 1st runner-up position, and Miss. Wencita Dias acknowledged Jiezel Delisha Noronha as the 2nd runner-up.
Preeval Pinto skillfully served as the Master of Ceremony, adding a lively touch to the event's conclusion.
