Sep 1 : ICYM Pallotti Youth Farla unit held " Youth Ignite - 2K19" - A youth gathering programme for the youth of the parish on Aug 18, 2019. The day began with a Holy Eucharistic celebration, Yuvaspoorthi Rev. Fr. Ronald Prakash Dsouza, Director - ICYM Mangalore Diocese was the main celebrant along with Rev. Fr Claudy Vas - Parish priest, Our Lady of Valankanni Church Farla as co-celebrant for the mass. The youth conducted the liturgy and offered offeteries.

All the youths gathered at Vailankanni Church Hall and the programme commenced with a formal stage programme. Yuvaspoorthi Rev. Fr Ronald Dsouza, Rev. Fr Claudy Vas, Mr. Cyprian Rodrigues - Vice President and Thomas Menezes - Secretary, Farla parish pastoral council, Mr. Roshan Pinto - Resource person of the day, YCS Animator Sunitha Baptist and ICYM Animator Steevan Robert Fernandes, Flexita Dsilva - President, Josna Priya Vas - Secretary, ICYM Farla unit were the dignitaries of the programme. All the ward leaders were also present for the programme.

Flexita Dsilva - President, ICYM Farla unit florally welcomed the dignitaries. The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by igniting the crafted lamp. Yuvaspoorthi Rev. Fr Ronald Prakash Dsouza spoke few words by addressing the youths. Rev. Fr Claudy Vas addressed on the importance of the day. Reeshal Menezes - Treasurer, ICYM Farla unit presented the Annual report of ICYM events. Mr. Cyprian Rodrigues spoke a few words about the programme. All the dignitaries were presented with mementoes as a token of gratitude. Josna Priya Vas - Secretary, ICYM Farla unit delivered the vote of thanks. A total of 44 youth including 9 YCS members were present.

Roshan Pinto - Resource person of the day took a session on the topic "The role of the youth in the family and the characteristics of youth in the society". The impact of youth in social as well in the family. He kept all the youths active throughout his session with fun filled activities.

Pradeep Rosario - President, ICYM Bantwal Deanery along with Vivian S Fernandes - Treasurer, Minol Mrinaline Braggs - Public Relations Officer, ICYM Mangalore Diocese were present for the programme.

Rev. Fr Jason Dsouza - Mentor, Pallottine Provinciate, Miyar conducted fun games and activities followed by water games for the youths. All the youth members actively participated in the programme. It was a fun filled day and a day to remember.
