Feb 22 : The ICYM Nirkan unit organized a two-day trip to Goa on January 25th and 26th, 2025.
The trip aimed to provide members with an opportunity to explore the historical, cultural, and natural beauty of Goa while fostering fellowship and strengthening bonds. It was also a chance to spend quality time together, hang out at different places, and discover new ways to enjoy life in our youth.
The itinerary included visits to famous churches, beaches, historic places, shopping areas, and adventure activities such as a boat cruise.
The journey began on 24th late at night at 11 PM, and arrived at Margao Railway Station at 4:30 AM, where transportation was arranged.
Day 1: January 25th, 2025
After a short rest and breakfast, the group proceeded with sightseeing.
Places Visited:
St. Francis Xavier Church: A visit to the Basilica of Bom Jesus, home to the relics of St. Francis Xavier.
Pilar Church: A serene religious site offering peace and spiritual reflection.
Miramar Beach: A relaxing visit to one of Goa’s well-known beaches.
Dona Paula Viewpoint: A scenic location offering a beautiful view of the Arabian Sea.
Panjim Shopping: A brief stop for shopping at the local markets.
Boat Cruise: The day ended with an exciting boat cruise along the Mandovi River, featuring music and entertainment.
Day 2: January 26th, 2025
The second day began with breakfast, followed by visits to some of Goa’s most famous attractions.
Places Visited:
Fort Aguada: A historical fort with panoramic views of the sea.
Calangute Beach: A lively beach offering water sports and local delicacies
Baga Beach: A relaxing end to the trip with time spent enjoying the beach and its surroundings.
After a memorable two days, the group departed for home, concluding the trip.
A total of 14 ICYM members joined the Goa trip, accompanied by Snake Kiran as the travel guide.
The Goa trip organized by ICYM Nirkan was a great success. The well-planned itinerary ensured that all participants had a memorable and enjoyable experience.
