June 19 : Fathers’ day was celebrated at St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan under the leadership of ICYM Nirkan Unit on Sunday, 18th June 2023 at 9:00 AM.

A short programme was organized at Nirkan School Hall to felicitate all the fathers of the Parish.

On this Occasion, Parish Priest Rev Fr Leo William Lobo; Vice President Mr Vincent Bennis; Superior of Holy Family Convent Sr Celine Vas; Resource Person Mr Cyril D'Souza, Agrar; ICYM Nirkan Unit President Ms Sweedal Rodrigues and Secretary Ms Renita Maria Cardoza were present on the dais.

ICYM Nirkan Unit President Ms Sweedal Rodrigues welcomed the gathering. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp.

Parish Priest Rev. Fr Leo Lobo gave a valuable message regarding Fathers' Day. Ms Melvita Crasta introduced the resource person. The talk was informative and inspiring to all.

ICYM Nirkan Unit Vice President Mr Henvil Valder conducted games for all the participants and entertained them. Winners were awarded with gifts. Ms Leesha Lobo helped with announcing the names of the winners.

At the end, participants shared their experience about the celebration.

Ms Asha Priya D'Souza, Sports Secretary - ICYM Nirkan Unit compered the programme and Ms Renita Maria Cardoza, Secretary - ICYM Nirkan Unit conveyed vote of thanks. A memento was offered to all the participants.

Overall, it was a joyful and a unique event.
