Sep 18 : ICYM, YCS, Youth and Education Aayog of Sacred Heart Church, Thodambila conducted a drug awareness street play and talk on Sunday, 17 September 2023. The street play commenced at 9:00 am in the church premises showcasing how drugs can impact a person's life and career.

The street play was followed by a talk on substance abuse by Mr. Benson Dsouza, a native of Balkunje (kinnigoli parish) and worked as a De-Addiction counsellor in Jeevanidhi trust Bajpe. At present he is working as a Counsellor in LINK integrated rehabilitation center for addicts Bajal Mangalore.

The programme was conducted in the church mini hall. The event made an impact by raising awareness among children, youth and the elderly. It brought everyone together to support the anti-drug cause as the month of September has been declared as an anti-drug month by the Diocese of Mangalore.
