March 11 : On March 10th, 2024, at 6:30 PM, the ICYM Thodambila Unit organized a Taizé prayer session for parishioners. The event aimed to provide a space for spiritual reflection and meditation through the traditional practices of Taizé prayer. The session was led by a team from Shirthady, headed by Jaison Pereira.
Chanting of repetitive hymns and songs are the characteristics of Taizé prayer. There are Moments of silence for individual reflection and prayer.
Scripture readings and brief reflections were led by Jaison Pereira and his team. There was Community participation in prayer and contemplation. The Taizé prayer session concluded at 8:05 pm.
Following the conclusion of the prayer session, participants were invited to a dinner organized by ICYM Thodambila Unit. This provided an opportunity for further fellowship and community bonding after the spiritual reflection of the Taizé prayer.
Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage in a contemplative form of worship, noting the peaceful and reflective atmosphere of the Taizé prayer. Many found solace and rejuvenation in the simplicity of the chants and the moments of silence, deepening their connection with their faith and community.
