Sep 25 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) St John Bantwal Deanery along with ICYM Thodambila Unit Celebrated "Moriye Maye Sanghim" Novem Jevan for all the Council members of Deanery on 21st September 2024 at 07:00 pm in Thodambila Church Hall. Melroy Dsouza, Secretary of ICYM Bantwal Deanery welcomed the gathering, Rev. Fr Robert Dsouza, Director of ICYM Bantwal Deanery gave an insightful history behind the "Novem Jevan" in Mangalorean culture. Prayer was led by Sneha Gomes and team and 'Novem' was blessed by Fr. Robert Dsouza, Director of ICYM Bantwal Deanery and served with 'Payasam'.
Rev Fr Robert Dsouza Director, ICYM Bantwal Deanery, Winston Sequiera -President ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Ashlin Dsouza -Secretary ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Elvin Dcunha -Amcho Yuvak and Deanery Representative, Arrol Sequeira- President ICYM Bantwal Deanery, Melroy Dsouza- Secretary ICYM Bantwal Deanery, Melroy Dsa- President Thodambila unit, Sneha Gomes - Secretary Thodambila unit and also Thodambila Parish Pastoral Parishad Vice president - Jaison Monteiro, Thodambila Parish Pastoral Parishad Secretary & ICYM Animator- Shanthi Fernandes, Coordinator of 21 Commissions- Nirmala Dsa were present on this occasion. Salomi Dsouza - Vice President of ICYM Thodambila Unit conducted games and activities and everyone participated in these activities.
As per our tradition, every member sat on the floor, and dishes were served by the core committee members of ICYM Bantwal deanery and Thodambila unit. Dishes were cooked by all the units combined themselves and everyone enjoyed this moment of togetherness.
After the delicious Lunch, baila was performed. Overall, 50 Youths were present on this occasion. Program ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr Arrol Sequeira the President of ICYM Bantwal Deanery. Overall, it was a fun-filled day and was a huge triumph for the ICYM Members of Bantwal Deanery.
