April 14, 2025 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Kasaragod Deanery, in association with the ICYM Kumbla Unit, organized Divine Rhythms 2025 – Echo of Grace: A Season of Praise and Worship at St. Monica Church Ground, Kumbla. Over 500 people participated in this divine event. The program began at 6:20 PM and concluded around 9:00 PM. All the participants thoroughly enjoyed the evening with singing, action songs, dance, mime act, spiritual talks, and prayers.
Divine Rhythms 2025 began with a general welcome, followed by the introduction of the esteemed guests of the evening: Very Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, Vicar Var, Kasaragod deanery; Rev. Fr Melwin D’Souza, Director, ICYM Kumbla Unit; Rev. Fr Jithin Joseph, Parish Priest, St. Thomas Church, Payyannur; Fr Nelson D’Almeida, Parish Priest of Maniyampare Parish and in charge of the priests' singing group for the evening; Rev. Fr Ashwin Cardoza, Director, ICYM Central Council, Mangalore; Rev. Fr Vishal Monis, Director, ICYM Kasaragod deanery; Rev. Fr Suraj, Assistant Parish Priest, Kumbla Parish and overall in-charge of the event; Sr. Sevrin, Animator, ICYM Kasaragod deanery and in charge of the religious sisters' singing group; Mr Dolwin Kolalgiri, Musician; Mr Reuben, Flutist; Mr Ruju Stephen D'Souza and Mrs. Leedia D’Souza, Parish Pastoral Parishad Vice-President and Secretary, Kumbla; Mr Winston and Ms. Ashlin, President and Secretary, ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Mr Nihan, Vice President, ICYM Central Council and Kasaragod deanery Representative; Mr Melwin D’Souza and Ms. Neema D’Silva, President and Secretary, ICYM Kasaragod deanery; Mr Joel and Ms. Anisha, President and Secretary, ICYM Kumbla Unit; All the guests offered a rose to the crucifix and officially inaugurated the divine event Divine Rhythms 2025.
The spiritual evening unfolded with a soulful performance by the religious sisters of Kasaragod Deanery, with 13 sisters forming the choir group. Before each devotional song, a short reflection on the Word of God was shared, adding spiritual depth to the evening. Following this divine singing performance, the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Kayyar Unit presented a graceful dance to a beautiful Malayalam devotional song.
After the dance performance came a major highlight of the event—a special appearance by Rev. Fr Jithin Joseph, Parish Priest of St. Thomas Church, Payyannur. He is a renowned singer who has been featured on several television channels for his unique singing talent. Fr. Jithin has written, directed, and sung many devotional songs, which are available on YouTube under his name. His powerful performance uplifted the event, delivering a heartfelt message on the immense love of God. The participants thoroughly enjoyed and were deeply moved by his singing.
Next, the organizing team, ICYM Kumbla Unit, took the stage with a powerful act titled "Set Me Free." The act carried a beautiful message—"Before God, nothing can stand." The unit members impressed the audience with their heartfelt acting and strong stage presence, winning the hearts of many with their meaningful performance.
Afterwards, it was time to express heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported and contributed to making the event a grand success, just before the most awaited performance by the ICYM Directors' Choir Group. For the concluding ceremony, the esteemed guests included:

Very Rev. Fr Stany Pereira congratulated everyone for organizing such a beautiful and meaningful event. He thanked Rev. Fr Vishal Monis for guiding the youth, the Kumbla parish priests, all other priests, and all the performers of the evening.
Following this, tokens of love and appreciation were presented to the special guests: To Rev. Fr Jithin Joseph, Mr. Reuben, and Mr. Dolwin for their valuable contributions to the success of the event. To Rev. Fr Nelson, on behalf of all parish priests, and to Sr. Sevrin, on behalf of all religious sisters representing their respective choir groups. To Rev. Fr Suraj, for taking charge of the evening. Finally, ICYM Kasaragod Deanery presented a token of appreciation to ICYM Kumbla Unit for organizing such a beautiful and impactful event. The evening concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the President of the Kumbla Unit, leading into the most anticipated performance by the Priests’ Choir Group, bringing the event to a divine and joyful close.
The Priest's Choir Group began their soulful performance, singing in Konkani, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Between the hymns, the priests read passages from the Holy Bible and reflected on the profound love of God, enriching the spiritual atmosphere.
Towards the end, the Blessed Sacrament was adored, and with the priestly blessings, their heartfelt performance concluded. Following this, the ICYM Narampady Unit performed a vibrant dance to a jubilee song written and produced by Rev. Fr Vishal Monis, Director of CKYM Kayyar and ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate. Through this jubilee song, he conveyed a beautiful and meaningful message that touched the hearts of many. Finally, the ICYM Kasaragod deanery Executive Committee Members presented a powerful performance to a meaningful English worship song, highlighting the strength and might of our God. With this, Divine Rhythms 2025 came to a beautiful and spirit-filled conclusion, adding yet another successful event to the legacy of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery.
