Feb 26 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Arva unit organized "Arva Trophy 2k22" Deanery level inter parish underarm full ground cricket tournament on 20 February 2022.

The inaugural programme commenced by seeking God’s blessings through a prayer song. Sushanth Fernandes, President of Arva unit welcomed the gathering. Mr. Lawrence Pais, Vice president of parish pastoral council and Mr Prashanth Veigas, member of grama panchayat inaugurated the tournament and addressed the gathering by their valuable words and wished good luck to all. Mr. Steeven Pais, Secretary of parish pastoral council and Ronson Veigas,  President of ICYM Belthangady Deanery were present. Lavita Lobo, Secretary of ICYM Arva unit rendered the vote of thanks. 

Youths of a total 8 parishes participated in the tournament.  Valedictory programme was conducted towards the end of the tournament which was witnessed by Fr. Elyais Dsouza, director of ICYM Arva unit and Fr. Steeven Cutinho, Director of ICYM Belthangady. Mr. Leo Pereira - former ICYM Mangalore diocese President, Anil Sequeira - representative of Belthangady, Mrs. Monica Dsouza and Ronson Veigas, president of ICYM Belthangady Deanery were present.

Team Madanthyar emerged as champions of the tournament whereas Team Manjotti were the runners-up of the tournament.

Princia Fernandes and Stephan Rodrigues compered the programme.
