Sep 12 : ICYM Arva unit along with the Youth Commission organised "YUVA MILAN -2022" for all the youths of the parish in the church hall on 11th September 2022 . The registration took place at 9.45 am onwards, followed by a stage program at 10.00 am. Breakfast was also served. Rev.Fr. Ashwin Lohith Cardoza and Rev.Fr. Vinod Mascarenhas were the resource persons for the day.

Rev.Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, director of ICYM Mangalore diocese and Youth Commission; Rev.Fr. Elias Dsouza, Parish priest and president of the program; Mr. Walter Dsouza, convener youth commission; Mr. Alphonse Rodrigues, coordinator of all commissions; Sushanth Fernandes, nominated member of DEXCO; Sr. Francis Mary, convent superior; Mr. Lawrence Pais, vice president of parish pastoral council; Mr. Steevan Pais, secretary of parish pastoral council; Avinash Lobo,YCS animator; Stephan Rodrigues, ICYM president and Princia Fernandes, ICYM secretary were present on the dais.

The programme, anchored by Ashwitha Rodrigues, commenced with prayer led by YCS. Mr. Walter D'souza welcomed the guests and the gathering. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Mr. Alphonse Rodrigues encouraged the youths to utilise the program to its fullest potential. Fr. Elias D'souza encouraged the youth with his motivational talk. Stephan Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks.

After the inaugural programme, Mr. Sushanth Fernandes introduced and welcomed the resource person Fr. Ashwin Cardoza who spoke on the importance of organization for the youth and also conducted various activities and with every activity was a lesson learnt. It was an interactive and fun learning session.

After this, all gathered, wished and celebrated Fr. Ashwin's birthday by cutting the cake.

Second talk was led by Fr. Vinod Mascarenhas, whose introduction was given by Lavita Lobo, Joint secretary, Belthangady deanery.
He educated the gathering on anti conversion act and inter caste marriages. It was a very informative talk where everyone got to learn about the current societal problems and ways of dealing with it.

Post lunch, Mr. Winston Joel Sequeira, ICYM Vice President, Mangalore Diocese and Mr. Prakash D'Souza ,ICYM President, Belthangady deanery, along with ICYM committee conducted games and led the group in action songs.

Alvina Rodrigues, Vice-president, ICYM Arva unit compered the valedictory programme.

Mr. Winston Dsouza appreciated the gathered youth and organizers for putting together a beautiful programme. Fr. Elias D'Souza spoke a few words regarding the programme and distributed the prizes to the winners of the game. Priya D'souza, YCS animator proposed the vote of thanks.

An enthusiastic young crowd of 71 members were gathered. The programme came to an end with the baila dance.
