ICYM Madanthyar unit in association with JCI and JCRT Madanthyar and Catholic Sabha Madanthyar unit celebrated Environment Day ( Laudato - Si Sunday ) on Sunday, 30th June 2019 at Sacred Heart of Jesus church premises, Madanthyar.

Rev. Fr Basil Vas - parish priest, Sacred Heart of Jesus church, Madanthyar presided over the programme along with Chief guest Mr. Hariprasad, Rev. Fr Stany Pinto - Assistant parish priest, Sacred Heart of Jesus church, Madanthyar, Rev. Fr Jerome Dsouza – Principal, Sacred Heart PU College,Madanthyar, Ronald Sequeira - Vice President, Leo Rodrigues – Secretary, Madanthyar parish pastoral council, Mr Arun Moras – President, JCI Madanthyar, Mr Philip Dcunha – President, Catholic Sabha, Madanthyar and Swebert Dsouza – President, ICYM Madanthyar unit were the dignitaries on the dias. Philip Dcunha welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. On this occasion, Mr Philip Dcunha and Mr Hariprasad addressed the gathering on the importance of Environment.

Free saplings were distributed to all the parishioners through ward gurkars. As a special attraction, ICYM Youths of Madanthyar unit prepared and sold monsoon food 'Khube mutli', 'Patrade' and 'Patholi'. Mr. Leo Rodrigues rendered the vote of thanks. Tyson Dcunha – Member, ICYM Madanthyar unit compered the programme.
