Aug 20 : ICYM Madanthyar unit celebrated Friendship Day on Saturday, 17th August 2019 at the residence of Mr. Tyson Dcunha, Member, ICYM Madanthyar unit. The celebration was inaugurated by planting a sapling at the premises of Mr. Tyson's residence by Rev. Fr. Basil Vas – Director, along with Swebert Dsouza – President, ICYM Madanthyar unit. It symbolises that the society should keep friendship with the nature. Action songs were sung, group activities and games were conducted. The youths tied friendship bands to each others. Rev. Fr Basil Vas addressed the youths with a message on friendship day. Rev. Fr Stany Pinto - Assistant Director, ICYM Madanthyar unit were present for the celebration. All the youths had fun together.

The purpose of the programme was to encourage youths to take part actively in ICYM and in the church activities. The event was coordinated by Dn. Ronald Serrao and Mr. Tyson Dcunha. 40 ICYM members were present for the celebration.
