“When the youth of Madanthyar get together, amazing things happen”

On 12-07-2015 ICYM madanthyar unit presented a special eve for the youth, where all of madanthyar got together, shared their views, gained knowledge , had fun and enjoyed a lot., 

The progran was begin around at 3:00pm . Fr lawrence Mascarenhas (parish priest of madanthyar), Fr Richard Dsouza, Fr Simon Dsouza ( Youth Director Belthangady Deanary), Gregory Sera ( Vice President ,Parish Council, Ronald Sequeira (Secretary parish Council),  Alwyn agrar President ICYM Mangalore Diocese,  Arun dsouza President ICYM Belthangady Deanary President were invited as the guest of the program, ICYM president Mr.Arun Fernandes welcomed the guest and the gathering with his lovable words and flowers.

Youth are like colors……ICYM had innovative plan on inaugurating the program, they considered the youth as the colors. Guests were asked to mix all the different color powder into the bowl filled with water, And there formed a new color. Fr Simon D’souza , Mangalore  Diocese President Alwyn agrar and Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas gave motivational and inspirational speech to the gathering..

“The world’s biggest power is Youh, and in youth we learn only when charaters and attitudes are brought together”

The program was being hosted by Mr.Rohan Lewis and Miss.Shiny Dsouza and then it continued with ice-breaking under the leadership of ICYM central council Mr. Sanod mogarnad, Mr Jackson Eric ( ICYM Secretary Mangalore diocese) and Anish Surathkal Auditor. There were more than 150 youth , they formed 8 grops with  group leader to each group. Next it continued with the group disscussion, which was conducted by the resource person Fr Richard Dsouza. The dissucion on four topic was intresting that made all the members in the group take an active in the session. Fr Richard was very impressive by looking at the participation of youth from Madanthyar.He also conducted a game using tissue paper, then asked youth to make an innovative thing using it in each group. All with their creative ideas presented their intrest in making something innovative work. Each group let their own ideas, which gave an effect on youth to think and analyse.

    After the group disscusion gathering was served with the refreshmentsand the it continued with the entertained, dance by ICYM girls and Maria Kripa Hostel girls.Yeya hasuya group which was selected for the finals gave an entertainment performance, youth had lots of fun and enjoyment which made them to ask for more.

The program got over with the D.J dance ,  with the special attration to the youth. Joy of the youth was spoken in the form of dance 

The youth of Madanthyar involved themselves ant got together to express their enthusiasm ,the program got end at 8;00pm .

All the youth left with new thoughts, love, compassion, dedication and with great knowledge….
