  • Managing high expectations and avoiding doubts in relationships

Based on the responses, Fr. Vishal Monis plans to initiate various workshops to address the needs and interests of the youth. They were delighted to have Ms. Wencita as the chief guest, a talented young star who has achieved immense success in the acting field. The ICYM Kasaragod family honored her with a special recognition for her outstanding contributions. Ms. Wencita shared her valuable insights and inspired the youth with her motivational words, emphasizing the importance of seizing opportunities and making the most of youthful energy. She encouraged the audience to be proactive, stating, "Opportunities won't come to you; you must create them."

In his presidential address, Rev Fr. Stany Pereira remarked, "I have seen a lot of potential in the youth of Kasargod. Many times, I have felt that with proper guidance and motivation, they could become extraordinary individuals in society. We, the leadership of the vicariate, always stand with these youth for their betterment. I urge the members of ICYM not to limit themselves to their units or vicariate. The world is open, and you should conquer it in any way you can."

Addressing the youth, Mr. Stany Bela said, "ICYM laid a strong foundation for my personal and public life. Because of ICYM, I learned many things, especially about understanding society. In my observation, young minds are always capable of producing positive messages through their observation and learning capacity. The youthful minds never remain quiet after listening to lectures or messages. They always think of creating something good and new from it. Today, society awaits youth to react to various issues, incidents, and happenings. The corrective and collective response of the youth always impacts society, just as Mahatma Gandhi, Vivekananda, Karl Marx, and Jesus Christ did in their youth. Youth should adopt a culture of questioning social evils, inhuman practices, and illogical customs. Organizations like ICYM should pave the way for this."

Following this, they honored the sponsors and guests with tokens of appreciation, celebrating their kindness and generosity toward Radiant-2024. The Kasaragod Vicariate executive team also presented a token of gratitude to the ICYM Bela unit for their dedication and hard work in making Radiant-2024 a grand success, giving Kasargod Deanery a memorable start for the year 2024-25.

Ms. Ashwitha Cutinha, Lady Vice President, thanked all the dignitaries, participants, and helping hands of Radiant-2024. The concluding ceremony wrapped up with the ICYM Anthem.

The final highlight of the day was a DJ performance, where all participants gathered energetically, bringing a vibrant conclusion to a memorable event. The event was seamlessly and beautifully executed by the Kasaragod Varado ICYM Executive members and ICYM Bela Members.
