Sep 12 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Kinnigoli Deanery Conducted “Novem Jevan” for all the Unit Office Bearers of Deanery on 11th September 2022 at 12:00 pm in Kinnigoli mini church hall. The program commenced with a short introduction of all the members.

Ms. Marvel Mathias, president of ICYM Kinnigoli Deanery welcomed the gathering, Fr. Sunil George Dsouza, Director of ICYM Kinnigoli Deanery gave an insightful history behind the “Novem Jevan” in Mangalorean culture. Prayer was conducted by Fr. Praveen and ‘Novem’ was blessed by Fr. Vivek Dsouza Assistant Director of Kinnigoli Unit and served with ‘payasam’. Ms. Delitia Periera and Ms. Philomena Fernandes, Lady vice president and PRO of ICYM Mangalore Diocese respectively, were present on this occasion.

As per our tradition, every member sat on the floor, and dishes were served by the core committee members of ICYM Kinnigoli Deanery. Dishes were cooked by all the units combined themselves and everyone enjoyed this moment of togetherness.

After the delicious Lunch, Mr. Gavin Dsouza of ICYM Kirem Unit conducted games and activities and everyone participated in these activities. Overall, 30 office bearers of different units were present on this occasion. Program ended with a vote of thanks delivered by the secretary of ICYM Kinnigoli Deanery Mr. Lester Lasrado.

Overall, it was a fun-filled day and was a huge triumph for the ICYM members of Kinnigoli Deanery.
