March 11 : Every woman deserves a day off for all the hard work they put in as they play a vital role in a happy family.

ICYM balkunje unit in association with Catholic Sabha Balkunje and Women's association Balkunje conducted Women's Day on 5th March 2023- A day filled with knowledge and fun activities for women.

The celebration began with holy eucharist at 7:45am. After the mass, refreshment was arranged for the parishioners. All the women were welcomed with showers of petals and rose-badges. There was a session organized on the physical and mental health of a female by Dr. Sharon Rasquinha and Prof. Pathima Violet. Simultaneously female health checkup was conducted by Dr. Sr. Vijaya Vadakkan.

Rev Fr Gilbert Dsouza parish priest of Balkunje, Dr Freeda Rodrigues Vice President of Balkunje Parish council, Mrs. Nancy Cardoza Secretary of Balkunje Parish council, Mrs. Lavina Serrao convenor of pastoral commissions, Mrs. Helen Dsouza President of Women's association Balkunje, Melreeda Jane Rodrigues animator of ICYM and President of Catholic Sabha and Carolin Chris Dsouza President of ICYM Balkunje unit were present for the formal function. Various games and activities were conducted for the relaxation and enjoyment of the female audience.

At the end Zumba was held for all the women gathered by Zumba instructor Mr. Deviprasad followed by lunch.
