Jan 29 : ICYM Kinnigoli unit in Memory of Late Lilly Aranha organised "REPUBLIC CUP 2020" inter-parish men’s football tournament on 26th January 2020 at 9 am in Little Flower school ground.

Inaugural programme was presided by Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas - Parish priest along with Fr. Rupesh Tauro - Assistant Parish priest, Shaila Sequeira Vice-president parish pastoral council, Mr. John D’Souza and Mr. Ibrahim - referees, who were the dignitaries of the programme.

The programme commenced with a prayer song led by ICYM members. Mahima Gleny Fernandes, unit President welcomed the gathering after which Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas gave the presidential speech and inaugurated the tournament by kicking the football. Sharon D’Souza compered the inaugural programme.

28 teams from various parishes of Mangalore and Udupi diocese participated in this tournament.

Valedictory programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. Mathew Vas, Parish priest along with Fr. Rupesh Tauro - Asst. Parish priest , Fr. Lancy Saldhana - Asst. Parish priest, Shaila Sequeira - Vice-president Parish pastoral council and Vincent Mathias - secretary parish pastoral council. Rev.Fr. Mathew vas addressed the gathering. Dalton D’Souza gave the vote of thanks.

Gurpur team were the Winners and Shirva team were the Runners of the tournament. Best striker, best defender, best goalkeeper and player of the tournament were awarded by the guests.

Marvel Mathias compered valedictory programme and the programme was concluded by singing the ICYM anthem.
