Aug 18 : "Yuva Milan" simply as youth matching, a day committed only for the youth. "Yuva Milan 2022 " commenced on 14th of August 2022 at St. Mary's special school, Kinnigoli. The registration took place from 8:30 AM onwards, followed by the stage program at 9:00 AM.

Fr. Alwyn Michael Joseph D Souza, from 2012 - till date African Missionary and Founding member of the Mangalore Diocesan, "Mangalore Africa (a Fidei Donum) Mission" at Same Diocese, Tanzania, East Africa ; Fr. Sunil D'souza - Director, ICYM Kinnigoli deanery, Ms. Marvel Mathias - President, ICYM Kinnigoli Deanery, Fr. Faustine Lobo - Director, ICYM Kinnigoli Unit, Fr. Vivek Deepak Pinto - Asst. Director, ICYM Kinnigoli Unit, Fr. Lancy Saldanha - Principal, St. Mary's central school, Kinnigoli, Mrs. Shaila Sequeira - Vice President of Kinnigoli Parish Council, Mr. Nealon D'souza - President, ICYM Kinnigoli Unit, Dolcy Swezal Santhumayor - Secretary, ICYM Kinnigoli Unit were present on the dais.

Aloma Patrao led the stage program delectably; Unit President Nealon D'souza welcomed the gathering carried by speech from Fr. Alwyn D'souza and Fr. Faustine lobo. As it was the birthday of beloved Fr. Vivek Deepak pinto, a cake was cut as a symbol of sweetness. Later on, mementos were distributed to the guests by Fr. Vivek Deepak Pinto and then vote of thanks by Dolcy Swezal Santhumayor - secretary Kinnigoli Unit, concluded the stage program.

The core committee of ICYM Kinnigoli Unit continued the day with some Ice-breaking activities and action songs at 9:45 AM. After serving the refreshments among the youth at 10:30 AM, Fr. Prem Prakash Cutinha - Director, Moodbidri Varado with team - Delisha from Beluvai and Queenie from Siddakatte conducted a session on the topic "Self Esteem" which included active participation by the unit youth, group activities and discussions on the same. The topic consisted of how to build ones' self esteem, factors affecting self esteem positively as well as negatively and the need for positive self esteem.

At 12:30 PM , a special mass was offered ICYM Unit members commemorating Youth Sunday and Yuva Milan by carrying out the liturgy and choir, and the mass was celebrated by Fr. Prem Prakash Cutinha and Fr. Vivek Deepak Pinto.

The food was served at 1:00 PM. Later on from 1:40 PM onwards the day went by including varieties of fun filled games, activities and action songs. 6 groups were made among the 71 youth members of the unit for the day, which competed in different games, activities and quiz. In those groups , they learnt how to work as a team, to encourage not only themselves but also others to actively participate in it.

Brendon , Red Drop Representative, ICYM Mangalore Diocese visited the event. Prizes were awarded to all the teams who participated whole day actively and wholeheartedly.

Ice cream was distributed among everyone, the program was concluded by singing the Dey Geeth. And of course Baila!! It was indeed a tremendous day, where they learnt, played and had a lot of fun, a chance for all the youth to reconnect and to cherish the moments which will live forever...
