Blood Donation Is A Small Act Of Kindness That Does Great And Big Wonders.

Aug 14  : ICYM Kirem unit in association with ICYM St.Jude Mangalore North Deanery, Catholic Sabha Kirem, Youth Commission Kirem organised a blood donation camp on Sunday, 13 August 2023 from 9.00 am to 1pm at the Kirem church hall with the help of Fr.Muller Medical College, Mangalore, in memory of Late Makwyn Vas.

Oswald Montero, ICYM Director and Parish priest of Kirem ; Rohan Dsouza, Vice President & James Lobo, Secretary - PPC; Mrs Eugine Saldanha, Catholic Sabha President Kirem ; Mr Richard Saldana , youth commission president Krem; Fr. George, Rector,SVD; Lester Lazrado, president, ICYM St Jude Mangalore North Deanery; Dr Treeza , Father Muller’s Hospital, Kankanady; Alston Dantis, president, ICYM Kirem unit; Akil Rodriguez Red Drop Representative ICYM Kirem unit were the dignitaries present on the dais.

Alston Dantis, President, ICYM kirem unit welcomed the gathering. Fr Oswald Monteiro addressed the gathering on the importance of blood donation and eligibility to be considered as blood donor. Dr.Treeza addressed the gathering and gave the information for the donors and important requirements about donating the blood. Joswin Dsliva paid tribute to late Makwyn Vas. As a tribute, ICYM unit honoured the family of Makywin Vas. Lorena Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks.

Mithesh Dsouza, president ;Wilma Lobo, Secretary ; Anisha Fernandes, joint secretary; Lloyd Menezes, Nominated Member - ICYM Mangalore diocese visited during the event.

There were about 100 kind hearted donors who made this camp a successful one.
