ICYM Fajir unit celebrated 'Laudato - Si' on Sunday, 23rd June 2019 at the premises of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir.

Laudato - Si Sunday is celebrated as per the appeal by Pope Francis to the world through his encyclical “Laudato - Si” that the society must work together in order to protect our Mother Earth.

Rev. Fr Sunil Veigas - Parish Priest, Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir urged everyone to join hand in hand for this noble cause and to contribute in little ways to curb the destruction of the planet.

ICYM members distributed 600 saplings to all the families of the parish that were provided by Diocese of Mangalore under “Laudato Si Campaign”. The parishioners took part and supported the programme with ardour. Youths of ICYM Fajir unit distributed saplings to the parishioners in a systematic manner.
