Jul 8 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Permannur hosted Aqua Splash – 2.0, an inter ward water games event on 3rd of July 2022 at St. Sebastian’s School ground.

The program began with march past by all the participating teams led by I.C.Y.M President. God’s presence was invoked through a prayer song led by the I.C.Y.M members. The program was inaugurated in a very creative way. Rev. Fr Cyprian Pinto, Director, I.C.Y.M, Permannur presided over the program. Rev. Fr Steevan Cutinho, asst. Parish priest, Maurice Monteiro, vice president and Philomena Dsouza, Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, Sr Joseph Mary, Superior of Bethany Convent, Sr Sevrine Fernandes, Deril Dsouza, Animator, President Ashvia Anna Lasrado and Secretary Dailesh Dsouza were present on the dais.

President Ashvia Anna Lasrado welcomed the gathering. Fr Cyprian Pinto in his speech described how Covid -19 had affected our lives and this program indeed is a great start to rebuild unity among the parishioners.

Rev. Fr Steevan Cuntinho conducted the games. John M Permannur directed Konkanni short film ‘Kon tu anjha?’ was blessed during the program. All the donors and well-wishers were thanked and presented with a token of gratitude. Food stall was set up by the members.

23 wards with 230 participants took part in the competition. A token of appreciation was given to all participating wards. St. Sebastian 1st ward emerged as the Champions, Our Lady of Health ward as 1st runners up and St. Michael 1st ward as 2nd runners up.

Joint Secretary Flavitha Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks. Anita Dsouza and Roshny Apos compered the program.
