Dec 1 : ICYM Ferar Unit organized "GAYAN - 2018" Konkani singing competition for the parishioners on Sunday, 18th November at 2:00 PM in St. Francis Xavier Church, Ferar. Rev. Fr Antony Lewis - Parish Priest presided over and inaugurated the programme along with Raphael Dsouza - Vice President, Ferar Parish Pastoral Council, Sr. Ida - Superior, Shubhada Convent, Sr. Flora - Nirmala Niketan Convent, Joseph Pinto - Angelore, Jean Mitchelle Braggs - Valencia, Jasmine Dsouza - Shaktinagar, Elton Dsouza - President and Vijay Fernandes - Secretary, ICYM Ferar Unit were the dignitaries present on the dias.

Elton welcomed the gathering and introduced the judges - Joseph Pinto, Jean Mitchelle Braggs, Jasmine Dsouza. Rev. Fr Antony Lewis addressed the gathering with his presidential speech. Vijay Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. Jerome Dcosta - Immediate Past President compered the programme. Competitions were conducted in various categories - Solo singing, Duet singing and Group singing. All the parishioners actively participated in the event. At the end, Rev. Fr Antony Lewis handed over the mementoes to the judges and also distributed prizes to the winners.
