Aug 22 : ICYM Permude Unit Organized "Gadyath Khela Gammath 2023 ” event for the parishioners of St John Baptist Church Permude on 20th August 2023 at Holy Cross Padav Permude .

Rev Fr. Ronald Pinto Director of ICYM Permude Unit , Parish President Henry D'cunha , Parish Secretary Dolphy Pinto , Physical Education Director Mr. Arun Dsouza , Mr. Leo Sequeira ,ICYM Animator Vintha Tauro , ICYM President Nithin D'cunha and ICYM Secretary Sony Dsouza were the Dignitaries on the dais .
The Programme began by invoking God's Blessings through a Prayer Song led by ICYM Members. ICYM President Nithin D'cunha Welcomed the Guests of the Programme . The Program was Inaugurated by pouring paddy husk to the vessel. Rev Fr. Ronald Pinto delivered an insightful message regarding the rural tradition and culture and well appreciated the youth for organising the event . After the stage program there was an old traditional march-past parade by inter-ward members.

ICYM Mangalore Diocese Central Council Members - President Mithesh Dsouza , General Secretary Wilma Lobo , Joint Secretary Anisha Fernandes , Auditor Jaison Dsouza and President of St . Simon Deanery Kevin Pinto were also present.

As a part of this event , many competitive sports were held in the paddy field. Competitions like Throwball , Volleyball , Tug of war , breaking the pot and various games were conducted for the children and elders to increase the bond as one family among the parishioners. Overall it was a fun-filled day which was showered with enthusiasm and joy. The celebration gave an opportunity to many to refresh their childhood memories.

ICYM Secretary Sony Dsouza delivered Vote of Thanks. Leema D’souza Member of ICYM Permude Unit assisted as Master of Ceremony. The event ended with a rain dance and baila at around 5.30. The prizes were distributed to the winners .
