Aug 29 : Deva Matha Youth Movement (DMYM) Mogarnad unit organized "YUVA SAMBHRAM – 2k22" for the youths on 28th August 2022 at 9:30 am in the Church Mini Hall.
The program commenced with a short prayer. Ms. Reema Crasta, President DMYM, Mogarnad welcomed the gathering. The program was inaugurated by Rev Fr Paul Pinto, Parish Priest, Mogarnad in the presence of Fr Henry Dsouza SFX, Director of ICYM Vittal Deanery. Parish Pastoral Council Lady Vice president Mrs. Eida Crasta, Mr. Noel Lobo - Animator, Ms. Veena Vas - Resource person, Deanery ICYM president Avil Rodrigues and secretary Ms. Lavisha; Reema Crasta, President and Joshphine Babitha Dcunha Secretary of DMYM Mogarnad were the dignitaries present on the dais.
Addressing the gathering, Rev Fr Henry SFX spoke on the importance of being an ICYM member. Rev Fr Paul Pinto encouraged the youths to utilize the program to its fullest potential and complimented the ICYM Animator and team for organizing it.
Two of the ICYM members Mr. Pajwal for the achievement in the natural fish pond and Mr. Melwyn Dcunha for the several years of service in ICYM were felicitated by the dignitaries on the stage.
Joshphine Babitha Dcunha proposed the vote of thanks. Melisha Mascarenhas was the MC of the program.
Rev. Fr Paul Pinto handed over the mementos to the chief guests on the stage.
The first session was conducted by Mr Manjo Lewis who spoke on the importance of leadership in the society and benefits of being an ICYM member and conducted various activities for the gathering.
The ICYM members taught some action songs to the youth.
The second session was conducted by Mr. Prajwal who had received a district-level award for his achievement in Natural Fish pond, spoke about how to build our own business by Natural fish pond and encouraged the youth to do the same.
Ms Veena Vas, Diocesan General secretary (2019-21) conducted some group activities for the youth.
The afternoon session was conducted by Jaison Crasta, Ex-President , ICYM Mangalore with the various group as well as fun activities.
118 Youths were present and utilized the program.
The YCS animator Mrs. Renny Fernandes and Sr Annie were also present.
