Jan 24 : ICYM Surathkal unit organised a unique program for the youths above 16 "EUREKA" at Sacred Heart Church conference hall on 22 January 2023. The youths' self-assessment,self-enhancement, self-development were the program's main objectives.

Very Rev Fr Austin Peter Peres,the Parish Priest Surathkal church, Rev Fr Richie D'Souza, Assistant Parish Priest Surathkal Church, Dr.Sr. Severine Menezes SAP, Resource person, Mr Russel Roche, vice President PPC, Mrs Asha Pinto,the secretary PPC, Teena Rebello the animator of ICYM, Anisha Fernandes, ICYM Deanery President, Oswin D'Souza President of ICYM, Melisha D'Souza the secretary of ICYM were present on the dais.

Very Rev Fr Austin Peter Peres in his presidential speech  spoke to youths about the notion of Archimedes and related it to the current situation by describing how the word Eureka was discovered. 

Dr. Sr Severine Menezes SAP conducted a therapy session with the youth that was based on actual events and how to respond to the circumstances. Also there was a session on self-improvement and personal growth.

Sr Carleen conducted a Jesus-centred leadership training session. She taught the young people how to overcome their phobias and navigate society.

This programme inspired the youth to know oneself better through various therapies. It helped the youth to discover their inner self , to do self assessment, and enhance life.

Oswin D'Souza welcomed the gathering. Melisha D'Souza proposed vote of thanks. Rencita Monthero compeered the program. More than 60 youths actively participated in the program.
