Sept 15, 2016: ICYM Surathkal organised YUVA MILAN 2016 with great triumph.
The program began with prayer service by Rev. Fr. Paul Pinto, Parish Priest of Surathkal. Mr. Peter Alex Dsouza, Vice president of the parish pastoral committee, Mrs. Vida Miranda, Secretary of parish pastoral committee, Mr. Anish Dsouza, Joint Secretary of ICYM Mangalore diocese, Mr. Flyson Shawn Dsouza, President of ICYM Pezar and Surathkal deanery, Ms. Cleeta Dsouza, President of ICYM Surathkal unit and Ms. Natasha Pereira, Secretary ICYM Surathkal unit were present on the dias for the inaugural function.
Mr Norbert Misquith, former president of ICYM Central Council conducted the ice breaking session followed by Fr. Anil Dsouza, director of the Family Life Commission giving a talk about the apostolic letter "Amoris Letitia" and Fr. Richard Dsouza, Director of Canara Communications conducting the group discussions and debate regarding various issues related to family life.
Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese Rev. Fr. Ronald Dsouza and the executive members visited the programme. Fr. Ronald briefed on the NYC to be held in Mangalore to youth gathered. Mr. Anish Dsouza conducted the evaluation and the program concluded with lunch. About 109 youth participated in the programme.
