July 18 : "A good education is the foundation for a better future."

Education is every child's right, and no child should be deprived of it due to a lack of financial resources. With this in mind, and to support the education of children in our community, the members of the Education Commission and Teachers Association, in collaboration with ICYM Moodbidri, organized a Scholarship Awareness and Guidance Programme on July 16th 2023 at 11:30 am in the Corpus Christi Church hall.

The programme began with a prayer song performed by the teachers, invoking God's blessings. Tr. Meera Miranda extended a warm welcome to the resource person, Mr. Narayana Nayak, a teacher by profession, Very Rev. Fr. Onil D'Souza, the parish priest of Corpus Christi Church, Mr. Vincent, Vice President of the Parish Council Mr. Norbert Martis, Secretary Mrs. Celine D'Souza, the 21 Commissions Convener Mr. Ruben Serrao, ICYM President, and Mr. Mark Mendoza for their gracious presence on this occasion.

During the session, Mr. Narayana Nayak, a person with extensive knowledge of scholarships, enlightened the audience about the different scholarships available for minorities, girls, construction workers, etc., both from government and private organizations. He also provided guidelines for the application process and assured his assistance at any time in the future.

The programme was compered by Miss Reshel Fernandes, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Tr. Joyline.
