Sept 07, 2017: ICYM Shirthady Unit organised ‘KHEL RANG’ – consisting of various games to the parishioners on the occasion of Monthi Fest on Sunday 3rd September 2017.
After the morning mass, the games were conducted. The program was presided over by the Parish Priest Fr. Francis Crasta and was accompanied by Mr. Wilfred Pinto the Parish Council Vice President, Mrs. Lita Pereira Secretary of the Parish Council and Mr. Jaison Pereira Treasurer ICYM Central Council. The games were formally inaugurated by the Parish Priest and highlighted the importance of unity among the parishioners and applauded the ICYM Unit for conducting the inter-ward competitions which helps in inculcating the same.
Inter-ward games were conducted for adults which included Tug of War, Lagori, Dog and the bone and individual games like Breaking the pot. Three legged race was conducted for the couples. Racewalking was conducted for older people aged above 60 years. The children took active part in Treasure hunt and many other games conducted for them. All the parishioners took part with great enthusiasm.
ICYM Shirthady Unit President Ms. Priyanka D’sa welcomed the gathering. Secretary Ms. Carol Mona Pinto proposed the vote of thanks. Vice President Mr. Ricky Pinto hosted the program. The gathering made all the parishioners to feel as a united family yet again.
