Aug 16 : As the day also coincided with the feast of Assumption of our blessed Mother Mary, there was mass at 8am at St Patrick's Church, Siddakatte. This was followed by the 74th Independence day celebration.
As ICYM Siddakatte is celebrating their Golden Jubilee year (2020-21), the programme incharge was given to ICYM Siddakatte members.
Parish priest & Chief guest of the programme, Fr. Daniel Dsouza hoisted the flag. Fr Daniel in his speech, said that "People should be more into making of 'Clean India - Green India'. As India is a democratic, secular, sovereign country, it is the duty of all us".
ICYM president Queenie Dcosta was in the command. The hoisting ended with a national anthem.
