ICYM Bajal unit celebrated Laudato-Si Sunday on Sunday, 7th July 2019 at God the Holy Spirit Church premises, Bajal.

Rev. Fr Andrew Dsouza – Parish priest, Mr. Henry Dsouza – Vice President, Mr. Maurice Dsouza – Secretary, Bajal parish pastoral council, Mr. Elton Pinto – President, ICYM Bajal unit were the dignitaries on the dais. The programme commenced with a prayer hymn by seeking blessings from the Almighty. Mr. Elton Pinto welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr Andrew Dsouza, Mr. Henry Dsouza, Mr. Maurice Dsouza, Mr. Elton Pinto – President, Ms.Tania Mascarenhas – Secretary ICYM Bajal unit, ICYM members, Presidents of all the associations and the parishioners were present for the programme.

Rev. Fr Andrew Dsouza addressed the gathering with few words of awareness and importance towards the environmental protection. The dignitaries and the presidents of all the associations of the parish inaugurated the programme by planting the saplings at the premises of Bajal church. A total of 500 saplings were distributed to all the parishioners as a mark to plant and nourish it regularly which was provided by diocese of Mangalore under “Laudato –Si Campaign”. A total of 200 saplings were planted in the premises of the church. The responsibility to nourish the saplings was handed over to the various associations of the parish.
