Aug 18 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Bajal unit conducted 'Laudato Si' garden contest for the parishioners in the month of July 2023. In this contest, the parishioners were required to submit a 30-second video showcasing their home gardens, aligning with the message of the 'Laudato Si' encyclical, which emphasizes the importance of taking care of our planet and its resources.

Out of the 20 video entries received, 10 were shortlisted by the organizers for further evaluation. On August 6, 2023, the judges visited the homes of the shortlisted participants to conduct the final judgment. This personal visit likely allowed the judges to get a better sense of the gardens' actual conditions and their adherence to the principles of environmental stewardship outlined in 'Laudato Si'.

After careful consideration of all the shortlisted gardens, the judges announced their final decisions and appreciated the winners and participants for cultivating an environment rich in greenery.
