Aug 28 : ICYM Bajal, along with the Daivik Amrith Trust, Mangalore, organized the "Laudato Si" Vanamahotsava and sapling distribution program on August 25 at 8:30 AM at Bajal Church.

The event was graced by Fr. Andrew Dsouza, Parish Priest of God the Holy Spirit Church, Bajal; Mr. Maurice Dsouza, Vice President of the Parish Council; Mrs. Lydia Lobo, Secretary of the Parish Council; Mr. Liston Dsouza, Convener of All Commissions; Mr. Santhosh Lobo, Manager of Daivik Amrith Trust, Mangalore; Mr. Simon Pais, Committee member of Daivik Amrith Trust and Jasmine Dsilva, ICYM President, along with other parishioners.

Cledwyn Crasta served as the Master of Ceremonies and provided an initial introduction to the program. Fr. Andrew Dsouza then delivered a message, emphasizing the importance of planting more trees and protecting our environment.

The ICYM President presented a plant to Fr. Andrew Dsouza, followed by the core committee members who distributed saplings to the other guests.

Fr. Andrew Dsouza then distributed saplings to all 13 ward Gurkars of Bajal Parish. Additional saplings were also provided to the parishioners, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to contribute to the green initiative.
