July 30 : On 28th July 2024 , the ICYM Paldane  unit conducted carrom and ludo competition for all parishioners at Raphael Mary Convent Paldane. This event was named as “Pavs Asa Bithar Khelya”. Firstly the competition was divided into two categories, i.e., below and above 15 years. Royan Nazareth, Fermai City Deanery Committee Member , Lishon and Anish were invited as Referees for the competition.

The event  began at 11 o’clock in the morning with 120 participants. First half of the competition was conducted in the morning followed by lunch break from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. Semi finals and finals were conducted at 2:30pm.

Below 15, Rishon Dsouza won first place and Ashwil Mascarenhas won second place in ludo competition . Above 15, Kiran Monteiro won first place and Jerald Moras won second place in ludo competition.

Below 15, Alden Monteiro won first place and Rovin Fernandes won second place in carrom Competition. Above 15, Mare Aronha won first place and Darren Aronha won second place in carrom competition.

Finally,  valedictory ceremony was conducted with Fr Alban Dsouza ( Parish priest and ICYM Director), Elyas Fernandez ( parish council vice president), Austin Monteiro ( parish council secretary), Josley lobo ( parish cultural committee head), Mr Walter ( Neermarga Congress spokesperson), Sr Monti and Sr Dorethi ( Sisters of Raphael Mary's Convent)  invited as chief guests .

The prizes were distributed by chief guests congratulating the winners. The event ended at 4:30pm, serving snacks and tea for parishioners.
