Nov 22 : STYM (ICYM) Paldane unit celebrated ‘Yuvothsav 2024’- "Dees Sambramaso Dees Ekvotponaso", on 1st November 2024 at St Teresa of Kolkata Church Paldane. The formal programme commenced at 9.00 am in the Church Hall. The Chief Guest, Mr. Vinith Dcosta, founder of VD association along with Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Alban Dsouza; Vice President of the parish council Mr. Elias Fernandes ; Secretary Mr. Austin Monteiro; All commission coordinator Mr. Jossly Lobo, Unit Animator Mr. Roshan Monteiro were the dignitaries on the dais. The programme began with a prayer song led by the ICYM members. Mr. Wilson Pinto, ICYM President, welcomed the gathering. The Programme was followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony by the dignitaries. The Chief guest, Mr. Vinith Dcosta addressed the gathering. The Presidential address was given by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Alban Dsouza.Fr. Alban Dsouza inaugurated Yuvotsav 2024.The dignitaries were presented with a memento to mark the occasion. The ICYM Secretary, Mr. Rayan Noronha delivered the vote of thanks.

Ms. Rishal Dsouza was the emcee of the programme, Mr. Henston Dsouza handled both the photography and videography aspects of capturing the event. The culture programme was followed by a dance performance led by the ICYM council members. Mr. Winston Sequeira, president of the ICYM diocese, and Ms. Ashlin Dsouza, the secretary, Mr.Avit Presmson Lobo, Red drop coordinator were also in attendance at the event. An action song was led by Ms. Viola Lewis,Mijarc Karnataka Coordinator. Fr. Roshan Dcosta led a session discussing the significance of ICYM/YCS and its role in fostering a stronger community. Ms. Jassica Santhmayor, Karnataka Youth Commission Secretary and Ms. Josvita D'Souza, Pezar deanery President also visited the unit and shared their experiences with ICYM and community service following Fr. Roshan D'Cunha's session, and STYM Paldane expressed gratitude and appreciation to both for their hard work and contributions to the Catholic Youth Community. Mr. Roshan Rocco added excitement to the programme by organising entertaining games for the youth. The ICYM members treated the youth to a delicious lunch.

Further games were conducted by Mr. Ashton Dsouza along with Mr. Royan Nazareth. The City Deanery committee visited the unit during its outdoor games. Catholic City Friends, Mr. Herwin pinto also attended the event. Mr. Darwin D'Souza, the founder and first president of ICYM,was the guest for the valedictory program, also presented awards to the winners. Mr. Royan Nazareth was the emcee of the ceremony. STYM Paldane conveyed gratitude and appreciation to all the guests and honoured each one of them with a commemorative memento. Many youths shared their experience regarding the event. Lastly,, the programme ended with the youth capturing pictures in the attractive photo booth followed by baila led by DJ Adolf Crasta.
