May 1 : All India Catholic Union holds National Level Poster Painting Competition on the occasion of its centenary celebration at the National Level. On Sunday, 28th April 2019, AICU organized National Level Poster Painting Competition in collaboration with Mangala Jyothi and ICYM Mangalore Diocese at the Mangalore Diocesan Level from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at St. Lawrence Church School, Bondel.

The competition commenced with a short formal stage programme with a prayer service led by Yuvaspoorthi Rev. Fr Ronald Prakash Dsouza – Diocesan Director, ICYM Mangalore Diocese / Secretary, Mangalore Diocesan Youth Commission. Rev. Fr Ronald Prakash Dsouza also welcomed the guests, participants and the gathering. Mr. Lancy Dcunha – National President, All India Catholic Union, who hails from Mangalore was felicitated during the occasion. Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto – Assistant Parish Priest, St. Lawrence Church, Bondel and Principal, St. Lawrence School addressed the gathering with a message, Wilfred Alvares – Immediate Past President, Catholic Sabha, Bondel Unit, Henburt Pinto - Vice President, Bondel Parish Pastoral Council were present for the programme.

Many young talented artists participated in this competition with high potential skills. Jaison Leroy Pereira, Shirthady – Diocesan Youth President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese compered the programme.
