Jan 2 : ICYM Mangalore Diocese celebrated Christmas to foster happiness to all throughout the diocese. To mark this auspicious occasion, several activities were held in many parishes by respective ICYM units. These activities were conducted to radiate joy and fervour of the true spirit of Christmas. There were few competitions such as carol singing, crib making, star making etc. All of these were conducted to bring the youth and families together across the diocese and celebrate the joy of Christmas. All the parishioners beginning from the children, to the youth, to the elderly took part in these activities. ICYM unit members also visited their respective parishioners’ houses and doubled the joy by singing carols. Some of these houses had elderly people who felt happy due to the singing of carols. On the account of Christmas ICYM Youth organised Sauharda Kuta, Christmas Eve Kuswar Kutlo and Kuswar stalls were also set up in their respective parishes. Auctions, bidding for rooster and housie-housie games were conducted in the parishes by ICYM Youth on Christmas day. Youth meticulously planned and displayed Christmas stars and cribs in their parishes. The hardwork and dedication of the youth is commendable.
