Aug 13 : Today Taizé is one of the world's most important sites of Christian pilgrimage. Each year thousands of young pilgrims flock to the small village of Taizé in central France to share in the community's way of life. Prayer and silence are at the heart of the Taizé experience.

Indian Catholic Youth Movement Central Council, Diocese of Mangalore conducted Taize Prayer on the 6th of August, 2022. Mr Jaison Leroy Pereira Shirthady , former President of ICYM Karnataka Region conducted this prayer session worshiping God with Songs, Gospel and Prayers. The prayer session was conducted as training and to encourage to hold such prayer sessions in the units and deaneries.

Rev Fr Ashwin Lohith Cardoza - the Diocesan Director of ICYM, Mr Anil John Sequeira - Diocesan President, Ms Nishal Preemal Dsouza - General Secretary and all the Diocesan executive committee members as well as Central Council members were present for the programme. Ms Delitia Asumptha Pereira – Lady Vice President delivered vote of thanks and Ms Nishal Preemal Dsouza - General Secretary gave a memento as token of gratitude to Mr Jaison Leroy Pereira.
